WCCSAM Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 Using Data Extraction.. We are using Data Extraction to pull information from 3 different blocks with attributes. We are extracting this information to a .cvs file type. Then using this .cvs file in another Visual Basic program. The format of this output file is very important and must be the same everythime we create the .cvs file. One function of Data Extraction that I would like to use is the "select objects in the current drawing" this way we can select only a portion of the drawing to extract from.. However everytime I only select a portion of the drawing to extract from my presets from steps 3,4,5 do not stick. It works fine when I do a data extradtion on the entire drawing but it seems like it forgets all about my data extraction "template" when I do a window selection. Does anyone have any experience with this and can offer any suggestions. Thanks. Hope this makes sense. And is there any other ways to extract the same data and the same output format?
