Is there a way to change the Default Set of Scales? I know you can edit them with the 'scalelistedit' command but we some times get xrefs and/or foreign objects that have heaps of useless scales attached on them. To the point that we have to reset them to defualt settings before finishing the drawing.
Any help/advice will be appreciated thank you.

I change mine by EDIT-deleting all unused layout tabs,-EDIT Purge, and Audit, and then deleting all the scales not in use and then NOT hitting Reset before I hit save.
My architectural dwt only carries 1:1, and 1/8" = 1'-0", 1/4" = 1'-0", 1" = 1'-0", 1 1/2" = 1'-0", and 3" = 1'-0".
The Default list of scales is not part of your dwg file, it just gets loaded to the drawing (Scale List) from a dll file, and comes pre-loaded on day 1. It gets reloaded when you hit Reset.
The list shown (loaded) in the edit scale list dialog box IS part of the dwg file.
Reminder, you cannot delete 1:1, nor any scale in use, nor any scale attached to an annotative object even if it is not used.
