Hey guys! I had a real quick question. Long story short I have been given a job that uses autocad but I have no experience with it. I have the basics down I believe but need some help. I have been given a drawing of a pipeline system, and an xref of a contour map. When I add the xref of the contour map onto the pipeline system, everything looks perfect. The problem is that I want to be able to use autocad to interpret the correct elevations and spit it out when I use the 'list' command, instead of just having to guess what the exact elevation is. Here is what I am getting right now:
The length is perfect, right on, but is there any way I can have autocad interpret the contour map to spit out the correct z values? I am currently using autocad 2006. I'm assuming you want the invert elevations of the pipes... if the the pipes (again an assumption that they are in plan view) were not drawn 3D (with elevations) you'll need to have the profiles of the pipes to determine the invert elevations. If you want to know the surface elevation of a pipe, you'll need to interpolate from the contours (guess).
