To put you in perspective, I use the Layer Manager Layer State (command LMAN) to go throughout different layer layouts. Our layers are pretty standard from project to project.
For some reasons if I change a property to a certain layer (ie: colour, linetype, etc), it only does the changes to which ever Layer State is active. Some times it will simply put it back to its original settings after I change to a different layer state. So basically i would like to know how I can change my layer properties, and not have them go back to what they were before.
I hope this is clear enough and that someone has encountered the same problem.
Thanks.

I use the LAYER command and don't have that issue.. but if you need to use text for like a script or something, I'd advise making the layer current before making changes.
