    hello every one

Hi, I am using autocad 2002 and now i am getting a problem with the selection items.

whn i select two or more item(drawing objects like line, circle, arc etc........) for copy or move or mirror then only the last selected item is being performing the specified operation.

why is it happening so, why is the operation tat i perform is not applied for all the object.

    thanku
    bye

    Hello Kanyakumari_t!

Possible your AutoCAD is set to use the shift key to add new items to a selection set.

    Try this:
    Start a command (say MOVE).
    Select the first object.
Press and hold SHIFT and select the next object(s).
Relase the SHIFT key and press ENTER to terminate the selection.
    Continue the command as usualy.

If it works you may try to reset the normal settings:
Go to TOOLS > OPTIONS and select the SELECTION pannel. Remove the checkmark near the USE SHIFT TO ADD TO SELECTION
It's nice to be nice, but sometimes is nicer to be evil!.
Tip: Please do not PM or email me with CAD questions - use the forums, you'll get an answer sooner.

The PICKADD system needs to be set to 1 to allow multiple selections. Fuccaro's menu selection may have the same effect (changes the variable).
