Mesh modelling selection tools in 2010

Just a quick question hopefully.

I've started to dabble in mesh modelling in the past few weeks in AutoCAD 2010, I've not really aheived much yet, but it's a start.

I've also started learning 3DSMax and noticed there's a lot more comprehensive controls for selecting lines/point/faces on meshes in 3DS. Does AutoCAD have any similar controls?

I've found selecting the right parts of meshes to be a bit of a problem so far. Given that I work a lot with upholstry/ complex moulded plastic shapes, I think mesh modelling might be pretty useful for me to get my head around. I know someone will say why not just model in 3DSMax, but my work just has AutoCAD, and isn't likely to invest in 3DS in the near future.

Ah, perfect thanks! I'll have to add that control to my ribbon. I must have removed it, stupidly.

Thank you!
