I've started to dabble in mesh modelling in the past few weeks in AutoCAD 2010, I've not really aheived much yet, but it's a start. I've also started learning 3DSMax and noticed there's a lot more comprehensive controls for selecting lines/point/faces on meshes in 3DS. Does AutoCAD have any similar controls? I've found selecting the right parts of meshes to be a bit of a problem so far. Given that I work a lot with upholstry/ complex moulded plastic shapes, I think mesh modelling might be pretty useful for me to get my head around. I know someone will say why not just model in 3DSMax, but my work just has AutoCAD, and isn't likely to invest in 3DS in the near future.
