Does anyone have an simple solution for importing models from AutoCAD 2010 to Cinema 4d ... Other than converting solids to mesh and then saving the drawing as R-12 -DXF.... Any solution would be greatly appreciated .. Thanks

I don't think so. Autocad doesn't have the 3DSOUT command anymore, so the only way I know would be to Import your CAD file into 3DS Max or Rhino and then Export out an .obj or .3ds file. If you just need to do this as a one time thing, you could download the trial version of either program. But if you need to do this on a regular basis, you might want to think about getting a copy of Rhino. It's relatively inexpensive compared to Autocad and Max.

There was some software I once used to convert dwg files, I think it was called Okino Polytrans, at the time I tried it I was really unexperienced with such tasks and I didn't have any success, but maybe it is worth checking out. However that is not a "simple" solution :(

No, you don't have to learn Max. Did you read my reply in your thread where you asked this same question? Did you try the dxf method I suggested?
