AutoCAD/SolidWorks Hole Size Question

I’m currently following this tutorial I found on YouTube and drawing it in AutoCAD although the video shows it being drawn in SolidWorks.

I come to the point where the user inserts an M14 Hex Bolt (ANSI B18 2.3.5m) Hole which I don’t think AutoCAD has a library for and really wanted to know the hole size?

Maybe its starring me in the face but the ANSI figures above seem too small.

Does anybody know the correct hole size?

The user inserts the hole @ 5:18 on the video

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Well an M14 bolt is 14mm diameter, therefore the hole size would be between 15 and 17.5mm diameter depending on the required fit.

Your Machinerys Handbook or any mechanical drafting text will have this information.

Tap drill sizes are also available on many sites on the internet - a quick search should return a metric chart.
