We at FCC are beginning to develop more organic forms in concrete and need to understand how to take a model of a 3d parabolic surface and get an exact linear diagram for engineering purposes.

Any recommendations aside from "flatten"?

Sounds like something Inventor would be better suited for. Perhaps J.D. Mather can offer some advice on the subject.
