Block Replace not working for some blocks

I'm trying to replace some existing blocks in a drawing with an updated block with a new name. Sometimes the command blockreplace will work, other times it does not. These are all dynamic blocks and have multiple visibility states. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After you replaced the blocks try the BATTMAN command and press sync, that seems to help sometimes

I had this problem recently and discovered it is to do with invalid characters in the block name. Bit of a dose. I would try one of the lisp routines for block replace and see do they work.
