    Hi,

Today I want to copy lot of drawings into another location.
some drawings have X-References (I don't know which reference related which drawing without open it)
I want to copy that drawing with all it's only related references but not open the drawing.
is it possible. any shortcut for this work.

In a nutshell, I create 3D models from the client's CAD files or design sketches which I then use to produce high quality rendered images. Click on the link in my signature to view my portfolio. I'm always looking for work, so let me know if you need any custom models or renders. :)

Go to your Windows Start menu > All Programs > Autodesk > Autocad 2008 > Reference Manager. Once you have the Reference Manager open, click the "Add Drawings" button and select the drawing you want to copy and move to another location. This will generate a list of all xref's, images, etc. that are associated with the drawing you selected.

I have found that despite the original X-ref path, if the drawing and its X-ref drawing are in the same folder, when AutoCAD opens the drawing, it will look in the current folder first, even if it is not on AutoCAD's pathing lists.

Or perhaps AutoCAD has got too clever now!
