as far as i know, there isnt marissa. youre gonna have to select the lines manually and assign them a stroke.
just make sure you have joined polylines where applicable so itll be easier when selecting them joined rather than individually.

i'm using Autocad 2006
when i open a dxf file with Illustrator, all the lineweight dissapear.
is there a way to keep them?

Yeah there is..kinda.
Open the .dxf file in AutoCAD and either print out a PDF or EPS file to open in Illustrator. This will keep the line weights (if you set them to plot out correctly) but any text will be converted into paths and lose their editablilty. Good luck.

yay i didnt know u could do that. i gave up on transferring lineweights so i just do it manually. usually they all come out as blotches.![]()
