Random error message dialog box

Over the past couple of weeks with random intervals, the autocad error message box pops up and prompts me to describe what I was doing when the error occured. Now, I can understand this form of error reporting when an error occurs, but the program has continued to run all the way through this constant annoyance.

Been doing some digging on the internet, but noone seems to be reporting a similar problem..Anyone else experienced this?

I'm on Autocad 2008.

What were you attempting to do when the error occurred?

Does this problem happen with just a particular drawing or any drawing you may be working on at the time?

Well, thats just it. I am un-able to spot any specific patterns to commands when it decides I have encountered an error I should report. I, as I hope I made clear in my OP, am also un-able to actually spot any error which should be reported in the first place, namely that Autocad has closed unexpectadly, when it hasn't... This seems to happen to all the drawings I work on.

Are you current with all service packs?

It looks to be up to date. All my colleagues on the same version get updated simultaneously as well. No patch on Autodesks website either. But I seem to be the only one getting this error. IT support in this place might as well not be provided..I find more answers and quicker solutions here at cadtutor and elsewhere on teh interweb. And speak of the devil, as I was typing this message, the error report decided to rear it's ugly head again. I shall finish wriging this, cancel it and continue working..

The error report just randomly appears yet AutoCAD does not shut down. Is that correct?

Correct. Infact, I can't remember last time autoCad crashed on me. :?

Well it seems we do not have much to go on here. No specific error messages are displayed and AutoCAD continues to work.

When did the problem first start occuring?

Perhaps a "repair" of AutoCAD might be your only course of action. Do NOT do an uninstall / reinstall unless it is absolutely called for.

I would say about 2 to 3 weeks ago or so. I can't recall there being anything seriously going wrong with my machine at the time either. But I don't really trust our IT support here anyway as I mentioned before.. I'll see what I can do with a repair. But yes, the error message is a true mystery..and of the most annoing order.
