fjaniswilshire-homes
I have drawing that are labeling the lines at feet. It takes the nearest inches and rounds it off to the even number that is next. Example 10'-9" equals 12'. I want to learn how to take those amounts and put them in a table that will have the quantity also. I have tried "eattext" to count the blocks but I need to count the line and how many there are. Puttting them into blocks will be more steps and that's what I am trying to avoid. Example 2x12 at 16' - 45 of them counted so there are 45 2x12's at 16'. Any ideals?
BIGAL
I would try to use a block as a label rather than a dimension then you could display 10' 9" but have a hidden attribute 12' then your eattext could sort on the block attributes the 12' possibly also a field so change line length and attribute updates. You need a lisp etc draw line then place block and label. probably two routines 1 for exsiting and 2nd that does both.
