Inserting MS2010 Word Doc into AutoCAD

According to the forum, this seems like an age old question.

I need to insert a word document into an AutoCAD file to create a spec sheet. Using MTEXT works fine for smaller Word documents, but it will not work for the larger ones.

In previous versions of Word you were able to convert the .doc file to an asc. file and then insert it into a drawing using the ASCTEXT command. However, you can no longer convert .doc to .asc.

There has to be an easier way than inserting it as a .tif file. Also, PASTESPEC has size limitations as well.

I will appreciate any help.

THANKS!

3rd party tools are a last resort. However, with all of the wonderful things AutoCAD can do, I can not believe there is not an answer to this issue.

I do appreciate your feedback though!
