Nice textures, (I need more metal ones), is there anyway I can save these for use in Acad? i.e. TGA format?
I don't have any other external rendering program.

Just stumbled on this site. Great if you need some quick textures for your renders http://textures.forrest.cz/

Gary - there's no need to convert to TGA. The textures on this site are in JPG format and you can use them to create AutoCAD materials as they are.
In fact, you can create AutoCAD materials from .BMP, .PNG, .TIF and .PCX files in addition to .TGA and .JPG.

I didn't know that. So if I save them to perhaps, the textures folder, I can access them from there and apply as a render?
I shouldn't really be asking this on this forum so feel free to move it to the relevant one![]()

Actually, I have tried to save and did not load up on materials render. What am I doing wrong?
I assume that you have created a new material using the image file? If not, you must do this first. Then make sure that you render using either the Photo Real or Photo Ray Trace render type. Also check that materials are turned on. See here for details: http://www.cadtutor.net/acad/acad2ki...at.html#Create
