woodman78
Hi, I have a load of lisps setup for doing quantitiy take offs from cross sections. They way I have it setup is that when I pick the material I want to apply to the cross section it creates a new layer for the material. This goes on down through the list. I am wondering if someone could help me with a lisp that would create a table and list all the layers and the total area of hatch on each?? rkmcswain
Have you tried the built in ._DataExtraction command?
BIGAL
Were spoilt we have Advanced road design sitting on top of CIV 3d when we set up a road cross section we can enter all details of all the layers making up the sub base, the volumes report gives totals plus a breakdown volume of each material. I am not sure if civ3d will do the same ? It would be easier than doing cross section by cross section. Just a side issue the volumes calculated using cross sections are not actually 100% accurate if you have curving roads but are generally close enough. woodman78
Thanks for the thought rkmcswain but i know the guys in our office and trying to get them to use a single button to plot drawings has proved to be a big deal. I know I have 2 hopes of getting them to go through the data extraction wizard and none of the 2 of them are called "any".
