Change Xref path ways

I need to move a source drawing to a new folder/location but it is Xref’d into a large number of other drawings. Is there a way I can alter the path ways on mass or do I have to alter each one individually?

The Reference Manager has an associated Help file that explains it's use fairly well. Open the Reference Manager and click on the ? icon.

how exactly does the reference manager work?

Please forgive my having to ask, but could you be more specific..? :?

Do you mean 'generally speaking' what does the reference manager do, or do you mean 'under the hood' what does the software do programmatically?

under the hood, I have a bunch of old projects that didnt get relative pathed properly and some of them are impossible to refer back to as a result, if i can use this to fix them in one big swoop that would be great, if you know of a tutorial or something for the reference manager that would be something i'd be interested in taking a look at.

Why wait for a tutorial... be proactive, and try it for yourself. :)

If you're unsure of what steps exactly to take, open the reference manager, and hit F1 for the help file... Read through the section called 'Change Saved Reference Paths' under the 'Reference Manager Guide' node.

Happy Reference Managing!
