Default AutoCad and PDF Creation Problem

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I'm using AutoCad 2005 full version and from time to time I have problems when plotting my sheets as PDFs. When I am plotting as a PDF the sheets always look fine in the AutoCad print preview, however; when I open up the created PDF in Adobe sometimes the sheets are cut off. It's almost appears that the sheet has stoped digitally plotting. Once in awhile I have gotten past this by setting the plot size to 11x17 and not a full size sheet. This problem appears to be totally ramdom and in a file some layout tabs will convert to PDFs just fine and then one will have this cut off problem. I have tottally run out of ideas to try and solve this problem. If anyone has ran into this problem and knows how to solve this please do. My office and I thank you very much.

I have seen these problems also. There are portrait/landscape settings in the driver, and in AutoCAD. Same for pagesize, and other settings. It's difficult to figure out which settings rule.

Are you plotting directly to the PDF system printer, or have you configured a PC3 file?

For the users who create PDF's here, we have started using CutePDF and these users are not having these problems any longer.

I know that doesn't solve your issue, especially since you already have Acrobat. Maybe some other suggestions will be posted.

Downloaded the CutePDF and works great. The sheets that were getting cut off using strait Acrobat are plotting just fine using CutePDF. Our computer tech guys could not find a solution to the Acrobat problem. So if anyone else is having this problemdownload CutePDF, it is a shame when spent the money on Acrobat.

    Thanks,

    Krystal
