AutoCAD and Administrative rights.

When we as a company started to use AutoCAD MEP as our main program, we were informed by our Autodesk reseller that it was recommended that users with AutoCAD installed should have administrative rights on their local pc to enable MEP to operate to its full potential. Does anybody know if this is still the case, just that since Hitler himself has taken over the IT of our new company, we are all treated as cyber terrorists unless we can prove otherwise (and I can't afford to hire the legal team), I have been having operational issues. I was just wondering if I have a case to put forward for getting my rights back.
