    Default change the length of tail of arrow

    hi,all
    in autocad 2010,I can not find the setting for the tail length of arrow in dimstyle option,see picture below:



    dose anyone know how to change the lengh????thanks.

    The only thing I can find without any programming technique is that the minimum length of the 'tail' is the same as the length of the arrow itself

    if "using" programming,witch variable should I set???

    there are a few options avaiable to you but it would depend on what information you actually require. if you look in the dimension settings standards for your dimension style you can suppress these lines and arrows or you can allow certain perramiters to allow only if the text will not fit to not allow the arrows and the lines you are looking at to be shown outside the dimension line. if i could post a picture of a screen shot i would but i dont have the abilty to post pictures yet.

    i would but since i have been demoted from my office job i dont have access to autocad at the moment as soon as i get back in the office i will link it for you although by then you may have fount the answer. all i can say is just take a look at all the options available to you when setting up a dimension style and this should solve your problem the options are on one of the last tabs in dimensions styles
