samp17
Hi Guys, Im new to Autocad and am using autocad 2011. I half have a grasp of the basics, however I am confused about selecting lines and objects in autocad. If I start off in a 2D plot I can draw and select and edit fine. The minute I swap to a 3D view I then lose the ability to select any lines or objects. I also do not know how to then swap back to a 2D view. How do I get around this, surely it shouldnt be that hard to edit objects in 3D. Please help me. Sam
ReMark
What visual style are you using? No, it is not difficult at all to select or edit items in a 3D drawing.
samp17
Okay, just that question has given me the answer I needed. I was in 'realistic' which obviously not the correct visual style. I have just tried with a 2D wireframe and can select objects without a problem. Thank you
ReMark
I know Realistic looks pretty but it can be a PITA to work in sometimes.
