Default Disabling cursor menu during MeasureGeom command

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

Where do I need to go to disable this option, I've had to recently reinstalled AutoCAD and this small setting is driving me nuts. I use the MeasureGeom command about 250 times a day and with the setting it is in now, this will add a click to my work.

    Default No luck...

I disabled that and no luck....still get the "sub menu", is there a proper term for that box? If so, please let me know and maybe might find a similar thread.

I was using -2009 prior to installing 2010, is the extra options in this menu possibliy an upgrade from 2009, where as the older version I was using wasn't as capable of doing those extra options?

MEASUREGEOM was new in 2010, you're likely looking for the old "DIST" (distance) command. I believe they took it off the "Inquiry" toolbar, and replaced it with MEASUREGEOM. I think my very first customization was to dump MEASUREGEOM from the toolbars/ribbon and put the old DISTANCE, AREA, MASSPROP, and IDPOINT buttons back on the inquiry toolbar where they belong.

    Hit F12 when in command...
Or use DI or dist to invoke distance command

Kudos! I was simply using the wrong command, no wonder I wasn't getting the result I was looking for. I made my own DIST command button (couldn't find the old one) and dropped it on the ribbon & toolbar.

    Thanks again, this is great...
