Sparky
I'm trying to create an alias for express tool commands "TFRAMES" & "TCIRCLE" to no avail. I have verified from the acad.pgp file that these aliases do not exist. I have tried "TF", "TFR", "TFMS... Are there specific commands that AutoCAD will not allow you to create aliases for? Thanks:shock:
designerstuart
i tried it - worked fine. did you REINIT afterwards?
Squirltech
I created TC to represent TCIRCLE without any issue. I am using ACAD 09 LDC. One thing I've noticed in the past though, make sure ACAD has opened only one session of allias editor. I've seen it before where you'll click OK and your alias editor will go to the background and a new session will open. Check your taskbar for other sessions because it won't update correctly with multiple sessions open. Hope this helps.
Sparky
No, I created one for textmask earlier and it updated fine with just saving the .pgp file. I was not aware of the "REINIT" command, everything works great, Thanks and have a blessed day!
Squirltech
I always forget about that REINIT command. Gonna have to write that one down.
designerstuart
a REINIT needs to be done unless you restart autoCAD - hooray it worked!
Sparky
Thanks again!
designerstuart
i have a similar issue - i have a few aliases to special lisps (which are added to my startup suite in APPLOAD) which work fine but one does not. why would there be a difference? i am trying to set TF for a lisp "textflip" i'm using the same "TF, *TEXTFLIP" format as already in .pgp i did REINIT (!) TEXTFLIP does work as a command in my AutoCAD the TF command is available and no other alias will invoke TEXTFLIP either. it seems i have a command for which an alias is banned?
