Have you conducted an Internet search or one of the AutoDesk website to see if this specific error is a known problem?

You're telling us that AutoCAD will not open any drawings at all?

From Autodesk

"The problem was suspected to lay with one of the Microsoft .NET

Framework installations so I removed .NET Framework 2.0 and the fatal

error went away"

If indeed that is the cause of the problem the OP will need the .NET framework removal tool. He should NOT use the Add/Remove programs that come with XP or Vista.

Agreed. Maybe a Windows Update, or a re install of acad before attempting that?

The net frame work from microsoft has a version 4 which I tried I also tried updating windows. but nothing. Its best I fix the problem before repairing autoCAD 2010

I would have recommended trying the REPAIR option FIRST rather than swapping out .NET Framework.

How did you "try" .NET FRamework ver 4?

What do you mean you also updated Windows?

I stumbled across this solution

1 Log on to the workstation as the user.

2 On the Start menu (Windows), click Run.

3 In the Run dialog box, enter regedit.

a Back up your registry , file >> export

4 In the Registry Editor, locate the following subkey and delete it:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.0\ACAD-8000:409

5 Exit the Registry Editor.

and it worked
