BlackBox
Congrats on your first post, and welcome to the forums! Try entering this line of code into the command line, and hit enter: (command "._-color" "ByLayer") Hope this helps!

BlackBox
RenderMan u r da MAN. It did work!!!!Thanks a lot.I'll be visiting this site often. thanks again. You're welcome. Also, just for clarity, there are several ways to accomplish this... for example, another is if you have the 'OPT Color Control' added to a custom layers toolbar, then you could simply change the color by selecting the menu pull-down (downward pointing triangle). I'm glad you like the forum!
nukecad
BTW:do you have any explanation why this happend? Your colour control had got set to the grey251 instead of 'bylayer' There are various ways this could have happened, especially if you are using lisps. As RenderMan says there are also various ways to put it back, from the command line as above, from the properties toolbar if it is loaded, etc, etc. Take a look at your Autocad help for colour for more info.
