    Could be lots of reasons.

    - how's your computerspecs? Everything up to date vis-a-vi drivers, service packs and what-nots?
    - Have you defragged the comp and cleaned it from unnecessary files recently?
    - is it a large drawing? does it do the same in a new-started drawing? Lots of layers/layer states?
    - Have you run Purge/Audit lately?

Is there a servicepack on AutoCAd 2011 that you might have missed?

Are you plotting over a network?

Computer specs are fine. It's during the last week or so that i have experienced these things. The comp. is pretty new so it shouldn't be a problem with defrag. etc.

It does the same in all drawing, wether they are new or "old"...

Yes, I'm printing over a network.

When I try to run the update it says:

"The service pack could not be installed because the expected autodesk product could not be located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct service pack for the product.

Service packs are available for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. It is important that you download and install the correct version for your system.

Yes, but this is the message I got out the 32-bit version and I'm running Autocad 32-bit.

The only other way I could see this message appearing is if you downloaded the update for 2010 instead of 2011 which seems unlikely.

ok... thanks for your help. I found out that if I close my properties pallette, the things I complained about with undo, plot etc. was suddenly close to normal. This is clearly not the right way to fix the problem but it's ok for now...

Thanks to both of you... It was very helpfull...
