Guest jonnyz
Hello all, I am learning Civil3d 2010, and am facing the design of an access/parking lot. I am not sure what the best approach is, but would like to model this with a corridor design. Any tips on the steps to do this would be very helpful. Also helpful would be how to approach this with a feature line method. Here is an image of the site with the buildings in blue, pavement edges in cyan, and a CL for the access road to give you an idea of the layout. BIGAL
You could design multiple alignments individually but keep adding design to a master model and check your contours to make sure you have no bumps or steepness. Even create multiple models as you add an alignment the surface data coming from the prior created model. Hope this makes sense. ex surface model extract surface details for align1 add design Align1 create model 2 extract surface details for align2 add design Align2 create model 3 extract surface details for align4 and so on.
