if you are bringing previously modelled parts which have been assigned colours they should stay with the part.

I use Inventor 2011 (32-bit) at my work. I create different parts as solids in my .ipt file. I alot different colours to my solids. But when I create a real assembly by using Make components, the solids (wich are now parts) lose their colours. I have to reassign these again?

Im not sure I understand, you create .IPT file with a couple of solids. You assign different colour to each one. After you push out to assembly. And the colours dissapear when you make section of the parts in a drawing. However the colours are represented correctly if you make drawing from your .IPT file.

yeah thats because you are cutting into the part... if you are doing a section thats how it is shown i believe...
