Importing points from a .txt file

I believe this is the default setting when importing points from a txt file to Civil they go to layer 0 how do I change it so they import on to the current layer?

Actually I was able to find where you need to change the setting is in Edit Command Settings, the default for importing points is layer 0 no matter what layer you are on.

Have you tried opening up an existing 2008 dwg and a new 2011 dwg and using "Tool space Settings" dragging the point styles for the 2008 dwg into the 2011 dwg ?

 

Probably drag all styles and make a new 2011.dwt

Actually thats true you need to open a 2008 dwg with 2011 and it does the up converstion then you just have to drag your styles into the new 2011 dwg
