How would you draw this? (2d spiral kinda thing)

To draw "thermal tracing" (heating core around ie. waterpipe)... how would you draw it? I just have no idea. It looks like a spiral but then a bit "compressed".

 

No need for 3d. See attachement for what I mean.

I wouldn't bother drawing it although what you have seems perfectly adequate. We use a symbol for our tracing. It's simple and it's quick.

 

Or use this one (saved in 2000 file format).

Coil was the word I was looking for!

Thanks for the *.dwg, I will try to make it a dynamic block, I believe that would be a good thing.

Hi marcoW.

 

I see you're dutch, that means that you have to use the NEN standards that comply here, i think in this case that's the NEN2322.

is states in section 4.3 that a "verwarmingsspiraal" should be drawn as a blocked rectangle like this: ▓ ▓ ▓ ▓ ▓.
