    Default Blinking crosshairs

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Hi,

    One of my co-worker has this problem with his cursor's crosshairs. When he moves his cursor the crosshairs are like blinking or sort of flashing. It's not that big of a problem but it's just getting anoying in a short while. Have any idea how to fix that problem?

    Thank You

    Hmm,

    not sure, because it hasn't to do with the menu palette, it is only the cursor that kind of appear and disapear when moving it...

    Default Precision

    One of my other co-workers was just wondering if it could be caused by a Windows Update, because our computer technician just made one yesterday evening and those who had the update have this problem now. Could there be a link between the two things?

    Couldn't confirm that.

    When I turn transparency on for the tool palettes, my video card (at home) can't handle it, so it makes the crosshair turn on and off as it's moved. That's my idea on what is causing it.

    So now I should turn it off with typing paletteopaque then 2 if I am not wrong. Could you confirm that to me, I'm just not familiar with that function and by the way if you don't mind, could you explain to me what the transparency function is used for?

    Thank You

    A little late but I had the same issue on AutoCAD 2012. So here is what I did to solve the issue. I'm writing this, so if someone has the same issue this may guide to solve. Anyway here is my solution;

    If you have a blinking issue on AutoCAD, check Hardware Accelerator (HA) if it's turned on of off. When I turned HA my blinking issue is gone...

    That is not a solution, just a workaround. Did you turn Hardware acceleration ON or OFF?

    The solution is to get an up to date approved driver from Autodesk site or get a new certified graphics card. If you have an onboard graphics more RAM might help.

    What graphics card do you have?

    you need a better graphics card and or more RAM I can almost garantee you, as I have seen others experience this over the years with various versions of AutoCAD.
