SDSinc
I want to make a linetype that looks like this _________ _ _________ with the center break always being the same size and centered in the line, no matter how long the line is. I am playing with copying and editing the Center linetype with no success. Thanks!
Grant
I don't think that is possible, the only way I know is to play with the linetype scale or draw the lines separately on its own layer. I'm sure this has come up before, maybe do a search on this website
CyberAngel
The only way you might be able to do that is if the line will only appear once and you know the length ahead of time. That's not very practical, I know, but you don't get a lot of options with AutoCAD linetypes.
ReMark
Maybe a combination of a custom linetype and a dynamic block.
SDSinc
this is for a block. we have stretch points on either side of the line, and a field attatched to the line that displays the length. So, if there are 3 separate lines inside the block, the length won't read right, or, if we stretch the lines at an angle, 2 of the lines remain horizontal. I have included a sample DWG beam.dwg
