nestly
I literally don't think I've ever used the AutoCAD command ERASE in my entire life. I'm a Noun/Verb selection kinda guy so I do this...
Jack_O'neill
The oldest version I have access to is 2007 so I can only hope this works in it 2004, but if you click on the object and hit the key that says "delete" on it (it's over there under "insert" and next to "end" on a standard keyboard, that's about as short as you can get. "E" is easier, and does the same thing as Cad64 said. --edit-- Obviously, Nestly types faster than I do!
