Khowell222
I am using the publish routien to publish my site drawings to PDF. I have everything worked out but one thing. When the drawings are published the system puts a space between the drawing name and .PDF (i.e. A01 .PDF) . I need this space to go away but don't have any idea how to do this. Is there some setting I have missed? The sheet name is consistent for all the drawings (.Properties Binder) and there is not a space before the dot. None of the DWF files have spaces after them. Grant
Hi Kim I don't use publish very much so I wouldn't know but I would think that the file name of the drawing would become the PDF name. But I thought you may be able to change the file names after you have made them by using a program like 'renamer'. Then do something like: '* .PDF' to '*.PDF' Hope this helps
Dana W
SPace is a valid character in windows file names. Check to see if the space actually exists in the dwg file name.
Khowell222
I have checked both the drawing name and the sheet name for the extra space. I am not sure where else to look. Any ideas? Kim H
Khowell222
I will look into the renamer program but I would like to avoid an extra step if I can. Thank you very much.
Currahee
Use window instead of screen or extend
Dana W
You can simply right click the Windows directory tree *.pdf file, and select Rename from the resulting menu. Any program you use to access this *.pdf file will not have the new name in its "Recent..." list.
Khowell222
I have 160 drawings that will be published weekly. Renaming them individually will be too time consuming.
