    Question Help! Pipe Network Question

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    I'm using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010.

I'm new to pipe networks so bear with me. What I'm trying to do is create pipe network from objects. So I go to Pipe Network> Create Pipe Network from Object> then slect my object.... but what if I want multiple objects under the same network?

If I call multiple objects the same network name, it just adds a counter (ex. Proposed Water, and Proposed Water (1)). I don't want that. I want them all under the same network but different pipes.

One of our older drawings have mutliple pipes under the same network.. Help!

I've got another one... is there a way to move a pipe from one network to the next?

Oh! Also... how do I add a structure to a pipe? The tutorial is way confusing.

    Thanks in advance!

What objects are you using to create the network? You can only use Lines, Polylines, Splines, Arcs & Feature lines

    from Help
Create pipe networks from existing objects in your drawing.
Using this method you can automatically create a pipe network from the following types of entities:
    Entity Description
Line Creates a pipe network from a line that you selected. The pipe network is inserted as a straight pipe with structures at each end.
2D polyline Creates a pipe network from lightweight or heavyweight 2D polylines.
2D spline polyline Creates a series of straight line segments using fit points to define pipe endpoints and structure locations. For more information about fit points, see the AutoCAD Help.
3D polyline Creates a pipe network using vertices in 3D to define pipe endpoints and structure locations. Arc Creates a pipe network from an arc that you selected. The pipe network is inserted as a curved pipe with structures at each end.
Feature line Creates a pipe network from a feature line.
using Create Pipe Network from Object will create one network using the vertexes to insert structures with pipes between.

I've got three polylines.. but I can't click them all to make them under the same network.
