Hello, I need some advice here, I have search the forums but I dont get an answer.

Is there any way that I can make SW to put parts into an assembly like this:

For example I have a 30 inches long sheet and every 5 inches I want to put a perpendicular plate ( a gusset ), so if I change my plate for a 60 inch long SW would put by itself the plates needed to create my pattern?

I dont know if yyou guys get my idea

Im just looking for advice of how to setup this

Thanks

Im not sure I follow what you are trying to do but inside a multibody part you can do a curve driven pattern. Instead of entering the number you can enter a spacing amount. You can also have an equation for the number of instances based the length of your plate. Can you maybe give a little more information about what this will be used for and if it can be done as a part instead of an assembly.

Thanks for your help shift1313, The assembly below is what im trying to figure it out, that's a 90" plate that have the triangle cross members, so what I'm trying to do is that if I change the plate to a 120" or 150" or any other dimension SW keep putting al those cross members and I dont have to build a new assembly.

Thanks again

Hey mingyar, did you get this problem figured out? There is a way to do this using some iif statements in equations to drive the number of spars you have. It will get interesting depending on how you want to do the spacing. You could also setup a design table and have the user input things like the width, number of gussets and so on.
