Default Is there a way to test for a valid drawing file neme before openning a drawing in VBA

    AutoCAD 2010 vba

In VBA I want to test to see if I have a valid filename before I save a drawing file using
ThisDrawing.SaveAs Drawingfile. VBA needs to know if it has a valid file name
"DrawingFile" before trys to save the filename. Is there a way to test for a valid filename in
    vba?

    Thank you,

You have the filename just check the characters in it for invalid characters such as !@#$%^&*() no easy way.
