    Default Inserting Blocks

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I am having a right torrid time with this drawing first of all the seat numbers (see previous post!!) and now I can't insert a block!!

I select insert block and the dialogue box comes up - I then pick the block that I want and I check the insertion point box to specify on screen but uncheck the scale specify on screen and set it to 1.0 which is the same as the block unit, I then click ok and select a point on the drawing where I would like the block to go by clicking my left mouse button and nothing happens!!!

I have tried upping the scale of the block but this still does not work!! HELP!!

I am using 2009 LT by the way

Thanks Stuart - I have used this block before and had no problem! I tried what you have suggested and it is in the drawing, I also tried some other blocks and they are going in fine but the only difference is that the block units in the other blocks are set to unitless and the block I'm struggling with is set to millimeters - I presume I can change this in block editor?

try running quick select to see if they are in model space, perhaps just too small to see due to the scale issue?

qselect is the command, it will bring up a window and under object type select "block reference", then under properties find "name", and under value select the block you are having issues with. If they are there it should select every instance of the block.
