I have win7 x64 home edition, i have just installed autocad 2010 w/o any problem but i start the program, everything looks fine, i can type command, set options but when i try to use/select any command (line, tools etc.) in UI, my acad stop working, its not responding. Any1 has same problem? Mb solution?

(im using alienware m11x, i7 cpu 4gb ram i guess system req shouldn't be problem)

No problems during installation?

You could try the REPAIR option first. Look in Windows under the Add/Remove Programs feature.

Did you also install Update 1?

Installing an update should solve problems not create them.

You may have to resort to uninstalling then reinstalling AutoCAD. AutoDesk has a recommended procedure to follow when doing this.

You might try a different profile with AutoCAD. From the AutoCAD shortcut on the desktop make a copy of the shortcut, right click, pick properties, Shortcut tab, Target line, go to the end of that target statement, is there a "/p name" portion? Replace that with /p new or add that if there is no /p switch. The /p tells autocad to use a particular profile, telling it to use /p new (any random name will work) will cause the program to create a new profile. Pick OK, now Double click on that shortcut and try the UI again.

Because typing commands works but the UI doesn't causes me to suspect a problem with a path in the profile you currently use.

Sometimes we aren't given all the pertinent facts so thought it might be worth the minute it takes to try.

I tried but still not working... I had Acad and Inventor 2011 before but these had the same problem.
