Tridraft
Need some recommendations for the best way to construct the 45 degree flang along the interior of the opening in this sheet metal item. Thanks! Scan001[1].pdf
JD Mather
That is a deformation and Inventor will not return a Flat Pattern. Easy to model if you don't mind the deformation (that feature) in the flat. Can you attach what you have completed so far? (There are several missing dimensions in your drawing - but since Inventor is a parametric modeler it would be easy to model close by eyeball and then change the dimensions when known.) Tridraft
JD, Again, I really appreciate that you are so quick to try to help. I will look at what you told me and get back with you tomorrow. Just played double header hockey games, we won both, so I am going to bed. Actually, it won't be a problem not having the flat pattern at all. For this item I just need to show the finished product. I'll attach the file so you can see where I am. Thanks, again. Scottm
