    Hi all

Im new to this site and i have a few questions if anybody could help me with finding the answers. Does anyone know the mod Z mdl app works in Microstation V8i? as when i try to load it microstation crashes It worked on my previous version of V8. Also one other question, ive been racking my brain on how to find the centre line of an unconventional shape with two different falls in different directions, 1:500 longitudinal fall and and 1:40 falls to the centre. I have attached an image of what im trying to convey. Any help in either question would be most appreciative

    Thanks

    Rob

lowey, MODZ has been around for awhile. I would try downloading the version from IDDEA http://www.iddea.org/downloads.htm IDDEA is good at keeping their downloads up to date.

Also you can try CivTools from Bentley. http://communities.bentley.com/commu...m/default.aspx

There is also ModElev from the CDOT workspace that I know works with V8i http://www.coloradodot.info/business...-configuration

Then there are two manual ways to set the elements to an absolute elevation.

    or
Set your Active Z to 0, set your X and Y scale to 1, and your Z scale to 0.000001. Now do a fence scale of your elements.

lowey, for your second question. Would Bisector Snap help you "Midpoint of an entire line string, multi-line, or complex chain, rather than to the midpoint of the closest segment." Could you post another high res image with the location that you are trying to locate.

    Thanks,
    Bob Mecham
