Losing information from clipboard when switching drawings

Hey guys I have been have a bit of an annoying problem for the last while since I switched to CAD 2011.

Basically when I copy items with base point and then move to another drawing to paste it I lose all the paste options in the right click menu.

I can still Ctrl+v to get the object to paste but this is not alway convenient especially if I am not working in similar co-ordinate systems.

If i right click in the drawing that I am copying from then I do get the options to paste, paste as block etc however when I move to another drawing this option is gone.

I can't really explain why this is happening but I have a feeling it has something to do with the wssave command "(command "_WSSAVE" "" "_YES")" that automatically runs when I switch from one drawing to another.

So my question is in two parts, 1 is the loss of the clipboard info caused by something else? and 2 is there a way to stop Cad autorunning the wssave command on drawing switches?

Any help will be very much appreciated and I hope I have expressed the problem clearly enough.

Cheers

Brian

No all methods of adding stuff to the clipboard seems to give the same result, everything is hunky dory in the original drawing but once you change the options dissappear from the right click menu.

There are other keyboard commands Ctrl+Shift+V = Paste as Block

Set WSAUTOSAVE=0 to turn off.

Im using Windows 7 64 bit

WSAUTOSAVE is set to 0 and it still does the (command "_WSSAVE" "" "_YES") thing when I switch drawings.

Cheers for the replies so far guys
