Problems bring a 3D model into Microstation from CAD

HI Guys,

I've drawn a 3D model and exploded it to surfaces for a client using AutoCAD2010 and saved it as a .DNG file but when the client opens it using Microstation parts of the model have been removed, Its happens the other way round too.

Has anyone been through this and found a fix?

JJM, what version of MicroStation is your client using. MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2) should be able to open a 2010 or 2011 DWG file. If they are using an earlier version like XM or V8 2004 Edition try saving back your AutoCAD file to 2009 DWG. Is this straight AutoCAD file? no Architecture Revit MEP Structural etc

Hi Bob, I think they are using Microstation V8i, I have saved the drawing as a 2007 version but still not.

Any other ideas?
