Openantics Posted June 12, 2011 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I recieved a DXF of contours created in another piece of software and when opened in C3D a layer for each contour elevation was created, so I exported to a shape file, including the layer information as an attribute, used Notepad to edit the dbf and replaced the underscores with periods, re-imported the shape file, then queried the new file to assign the elevations. voila. My problem now is that the text objects that define the contours elevations did not come with so i have this nice contour map with no numbers! Can i follow a similar routine to mapexport the text data and mapimport and query the object data in? no luck so far - any advice? tia Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
