stevsmith
Has anybody had any compatibility issues with solidworks 2010 creating design tables with Microsoft office 2010. I went to add a design table automatically but nothing happened. This happened when I was sitting the core 1 of cswp exam.

SLW210
Wow! geee. That would be great, if only I knew that BEFORE I upgraded. It was not necessary to remove the old version, just because you upgraded. I still have Excel 2003 and have it set to my default, even though I have several later versions. I do not uninstall (or at least keep the install CD) until I am satisfied with the new version. Now you know why some keep old software around. SLW210
Fair play. I'm relentless for jumping to quickly down the rabbit hole. Been there and done that myself. I still have floppies for DOS programs. Have you given OpenOffice a shot yet?
stevsmith
Yeah I used to have it on my Dell laptop until it went for a flying lesson out my window. I found it almost identical to microsoft office. That was a few years ago now.
shift1313
I did a little digging and looks like there may be a hotfix for some 32/64 bit OLE object issues that might be causing you guys grief. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/983396 I was digging back through SW2010 service pack release notes. What Service packs are you guys using on your installs. Are they 32bit or 64 bit systems?
