There's a new varible called "FRAME" that controls it now. It controls all frames, dwf,xref, pdf, images etc.

In AutoCAD Mechanical 2009, I could type "IMAGEFRAME" then give it a value of "0". This would remove the frame that was around the image, so that the image could not be moved or erased by accident.
In AutoCAD Mechanical 2012, whether I give it a value of "0" or "1", the imageframe is still there.
What's the deal?
