Hello,

I wrote down some autocad errors i got and now its time to post them here.

Version: Autocad 2011

Windows: XP

When i have multiple drawings opened and i close one, or when i switch to a different viewport, most of the times autocad crashes and i get:

- FATAL ERROR: Unhandled acces

violation reading

0x0001 Exception at 1h.

The underlining part is different each time. (i've also had 0xffffffff exception at ffffffffh)

When i am just drawing and suddenly get an error most of the times it this:

- Runtime ERROR! - R6025

- Pure Virtual Function Call

- C:/programfiles/Autocad2010/acad.exe

I really need help with this problem!

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

ps, i just got a fatal error when closing a drawing opened in autocad:

i am not using any other programs except for outlook.

I also have all updates from windows and Autocad. ( Version: D.215.0.0 Autocad 2010 English Version 2 ) when i click the automatic updater it says the latest update has been installed.

This is the first thing i tried when i noticed the issue.

i have been checking the link but it seems the error occurs at many different actions.

I do get fatal errors at different actions ( closing drawing and switching viewports ) but i dont get the R6025 at an actions but just suddenly when drawing..

hard to search for this when autocad does it suddenly but when i find a solution, ill post it here ;)

Thank you!

It is an option accessed via Windows itself. Check under Add/Remove programs.

What version of Windows are you using?

I believe it would be XP. It would be nice to know if it is 64-bit or 32-bit and the service pack. Do you have all the updates for AutoCAD?

To change a program in Windows XP, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. In the Currently installed programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Change or Change/Remove.
  3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to make the changes that you want.

Can you post the drawing so someone here can take a look at it?

We know you are using AutoCAD 2011 on a computer running Windows XP. What are your computer specs?

It happens to all drawings. small or big, that doesnt matter. most of the time autocad crashes when i go in a viewport, but it also happens when i just insert a simple block.

Maybe a full reinstall via the link you posted is the only option. if that doesnt work i might need to switch to 2011, or eventually 2012
