Hatch lock up

Recommended Posts

I have been using ACAD 2012 for several weeks now with no big issues.

I tried to hatch by pick points and the system locked up.

If I select an object it will hatch ok. If it is a large area it may take 3-4 min. to think about it, then it doesn't show the pattern in preview but it is there when I hit OK and regenall.

I have a Dell Vostro 400.

4.o gig RAM

Processor is Intel Core 2Quad Q6600

32 bit

What else might I have to reset or change to get this to work?

Thanks,

Chuck

trying zooming in on the area so that the intended hatch area is all that is viewable on your screen, I've noticed that sometimes it's like to much on your screen confuses autocad during a hatch operation, not sure why and if this is even your problem but i figure its easy enough to try and rule out if that don't get the hatch working for you.

I tried specified origin, no go.

I usually zoom in to the area to be hatched.

I have an ATI Fire GLV3600

Vista Business o.s.

Iwent back to 2010 and hatch works great. Even if it seems to take a while to hatch a large area I can esc. out without crashing.

So, it's all in ACAD 2012.

Have you installed the latest updates to 2012?

What is the latest update number or date? I'll have to have our IT dept. install since I'm not allowed to do those kind of things.
