Paradise
I really have problems with moving and copying sketch's. The move sketch by Y does not work. I made a board, a washer and a nut. Now i need to move the nut 3mm up to put another washer in. But i don't get it. (this is a part - not a assembly) EDIT: Damn. It took me hours to figure this out. The thing is it is not visible in the menu by default. There is a move/copy in Insert->Features and with that you can move the whole Solid Body (my nut). And i was thinking why is it so hard to move something in SW. Ok so with Mr. T's words: get some nut's *lol Edited July 16, 2011 by Paradise
shift1313
While this will work for now it is best to design things like hardware into an assembly. I do a lot of multibody solid modeling but when it comes to the nuts/bolts i will always handle that at the assembly level. With this instance you can handle this several ways. Roll the feature tree back up to before the nut, make the washer twice as thick and then split it in half so you have two. The nut sketch should have been drawn on the top face of the washer. That way any changes in the washer will adjust the nut automatically.
